hmMm..recently, i've been yawning real lOt altho i've beEn stuck at home..
and this happens very frequently today when i was doing my econs mcq...EeEks.

i'm sure alot of us yawn for no apparent reason toO.
here's some interesting stuff:

Causes of yawning

An indication of tiredness, stress, over-work, or boredom.
An action indicating psychological decompression after a state of high alert.
A means of expressing powerful emotions like anger, rejection, apathy, or tedium.

Used to be:
yawning is caused by an excess of CO2 and lack of O2 in the bloOd. The brain detects this and triggers the yawn reflex. The mouth tretches wide and the lungs inhale deeply, bringing oxygen into the lungs and hence to the bloodstream.

A more recent hypothesis is that yawning is used for regulation of body temp. Another hypothesis is that yawns are caused by the same chemicals (neurotransmitters) in the brain that affect emotions, mood, appetite etc.

Superstitions

Why we cover our mouths when yawning:

Greeks believe yawning isn't a sign of boredom but that the person's soul is tryin 2 escape the body -_-''..

Some believed it's also a way of the devil wanting to send evil spirits into the body.

Other superstitions include:

A yawn is a sign that danger is near.
Counting a person's teeth robs them of one year of life for every tooth counted. This is why some people cover their mouths when they laugh, smile, or yawn.
If two persons are seen to yawn one after the other, it is said that the one who yawned last bears no malice towards the one who yawned first. (this is extremely complicating, isn't it? it's just yawning..zZz..)

think this is most ridiculous:
Some people hold the superstition that when you yawn, someone just walked over your future grave site or the future grave site of your children.

hmm.. the haze has sorta died out due to the recent downpours..
but that does not mean we can neglect our health!
lOlx..wad's more,we have the upcoming A levels...

DO eat more veg, fruits & fish rich in omega 3 like tuna, mackerel, salmon(they boOsts ur brainpower toO!) + increase your intake on water
DO NOT or rather AVOID dairy products (altho i jus drank a glass of milk this morning..heHx) & red meat...

More vitamins A, C, E would be best.

yikes! haven been updating..
this is cOs i've been busy studying & catching up on bleach! lOlx.
bleach is cute.

hmM..went out today cOs my mum's got free facial coups at inizio (i tink) spa @ new bugis street..
sleek decor..everything's soO black..the floOr tiles, the wall, the counter except for a tiny red couch.
the roOms & toilets were all hidden by mirror panels..
nothing special abt facials actually but this one's got me interested cos they use chocolate as cleansing creams!!

i wished i could lick it off my face..
in fact up till now, the choc aroma still stays and lingers around my face..zZZz..
then they also have this oxygen hydrating mask...

they brought us into this roOm that has a tiny partition & filled with aromatherapy oils..
roOm's all dark & cosy...
lOlx and i actually fell asleep during facial cos the bed's toO soft & the aircon's just right.

went to expo after that
cos they have this metro & mph sale...
nothing much to seEe..in fact the crowd this yr's got lesser (guess it's due to vivO city).
bought one boOk written by carmen bin laden..yeAa..about wad's life like being a woman in saudi arabia & also in the bin laden family..hmMMm..
10 bucks. soO why not? lOlx.

HAPPY 100th PIGGY DAY!!! (14th oct.)

friday was graduation day...hmMm..
thanks jiun kit for the piggy dOg stuffed toy..lOlx..
me & linnie had a great time using it as a machine gun...-_-''' hahah..
not much happened..all i rmbed was ny's still a great place to be in...
i love my batch of teachers...they're sO nicee & priceless..
from the:
GP: no one in particular but miss (or mrs) darryl seems like a hilarious person
Maths: who else but lokey lokey lokey!! hehe...
Chem: mr wan & mrs judy tan...lOlx..but d lim seems pretty caring sometimes
Econ: mrs tay!!! she rOx.

then that was the end of my enslavery (under mrs tan kim seng's teachings)...still rmb-ed we hated her sO much that we set up a ATKS club...& all her not-so-nice comments...
this is wad she always tell us: i'm only being cruel to be kind..that seEms to be her mOttO..lOlx.

ytd was piggy day~!!!
went to ps to watch "World Trade Centre"..
the 2 hrs seemed pretty lOng.. it's hard to watch people suffering & all..
really sad & tragic...
and at the end of it, you know wad u've just witnessed isn't a fiction but a true life account of 2 policemen who were the 18th & 19th being rescued out of the 20.

i managed to gO to vivocity..
Okie that place is DAMN BIG & the scenery outside is soO beautiful!!!
it overloOks the sea, sentosa & the pOrt..
toO bad it's pretty hazy ytd...
in fact, i didn't visit all the shOps in vivocity...there're toO many exits!!!
wonder how it loOks like from outside...

had my dinner at east cOast..lOlx..weird..
that's cOs piggy's fren, lixian works there & she said (i tink) the ambience is quite goOd..
it's called Artz Pizza...a pastahouse..
*gulp* & pretty expensive toO..hahaha..
but quite romantic with candlelight with a woOden table & couches made of straw/ rattan..lOlx..
we ordered & shared a 4 seasons pizza & lasagne..
jus the lasagne alone, we're already very full.. Oh manXx...

& we ended up getting home really late.My mum sounded really unhappy on the phone..spoiled my happy day & spoiled my piggy's moOd toO.
but overall, it's rather fun!

went out with the jie-meis tOday!!
yes, you guys are very sweEEt...even tho i ordered the one of the most ex thingsS..hehe...
and the neOs we toOk..althO erm quite impromptu but then still had alot alot of fun!!!
i tink my voice had gone more hoarse after all the screaming..lOlx.

as usual, jeslin embarrassed herself a couple of times! haha..
she's supposed 2 scream "rawr" but ended up saying "claw" -_-''' how figurative...

oh!! and the manager of swensen's (with the waiter he dragged) sang happy birthday sOng for me & everyone in the house was clapping..lOlx...
quite cute tho..lOlx.
think the staff there are really niceE.

haha and we met a few weird pple who carn help staring at our table...
zZZz..

yeaPps..then went home cOs i rmbed my parents had cake for me! yipeEe!
just as i opened my gate halfway, my piggy called me!!!
i had the shock of my life!!!
i think my mouth opened pretty wide when he handed me the lovely rOses..
that's because he's been lying to me the whole time & i wasn't expecting anything at all...lOlx.
and there's this lovely card which he toOk an extract from "The Little Prince" that happened to be one of my fave parts...hehX.

had strawberry wine cake for bday!!
it was wOw..strong. lOlx..
& the fruits were really nice...this is the 1st time i enjoyed eating blueberries~~

at least i got 2 of my lil wishes...
one of them is i finally got the song i fell in love with when i heard it on radio the 1st time!!

zZZz..recently been going out after skoO & coming back home for dinNer..
i know know! i shld head str8 home to study..lOlx...
on the other hand, if i do get home, i end up on the bed...then study at nite & sleep at like 2pm?

perhaps going out is the lesser of the 2 evils..lOlx.

my piggy finally cut his messy messy hair & bought a belt tOday..
tsk tsk...he said he is trying to get used to himself..
my bad beCOs i sort of like the way certain metrosexuals (not gays pls!) dresS..
heh heh.

and for the next weEk, i wish i'm gonna have a peaceful weEk & a happy end to my nyjc life..hEEx.
after all, next weEk have a few special days *hint*

trying to pick myself..hmMm..
but prelims really held me dOwn..
still demoralised whenever i make mistakes...ZzzZ..

and the thought of exams makes me pessimistic becOs of the stupid grades i gOt..
argHXxxx..

had GP consultation today with tks (me devi lirong & elain)..
tt's cOs we're doing the same qn8 on science for our paper 1...
OH MAN.
i didn't noe that 1 qn can last for 1 and 1/2 hrs..
i wanted 2 say "SPARE meEEee.."
tt's the same amt of time i was given to write about that qn...
and in the last half hr, i can already feel a slight pain banging onto the walls of my brain "let me out! Let me out!" oOps..lolx.

had carls' jr for lunch..
the mushroOm burger..it's really goOd but i tink i'm nt really a fan of carls' jr cOs i carn stomach such a massive burger..
only managed to finish 5/6 of it lOlx..
and the pigg was eyeing at my burger, silently wishing i will surrender and hand it over to him..lOlx.
